After getting and activating your SIM with YO Mobile, you can transfer your existing number to our network. Here’s how:👉
- Request Your Portability PIN 📲
While using your current operator’s number, call 051 or send an SMS to 051 with the word “NIP.” You’ll receive your 4-digit portability PIN within 5 minutes. Don’t forget to save it! - Request Your Portability 😃
Go to the “Transfer my number” screen in the YO Mobile App, tap “CONTINUE” and enter your old number and the PIN from step 1. - Wait for Portability ⏱️
Once submitted, the transfer will take about 48 business hours to complete. In the meantime, you can use your YO SIM+ with a temporary number. When your old chip loses signal, it means you’re all set!
For any questions about your portability status, contact us through the help bubble or call 01 800 2000 120 to reach IFT directly.
📱 Compatibility
The only requirement to use YO Mobile is that you’re free from your ex’s control 😜
(Your device must support physical SIM cards and be unlocked for use with any carrier). 😉
🛑 Can I Be Switched to Another Company Without My Consent?
NO! 🫸
It’s completely illegal for a company to transfer your number without your consent. Your NIP is always required to authorize the switch.
⚠️ Beware of Scams
Some dishonest promoters might try to get your NIP to transfer you to another company. Don’t let anyone manipulate your device! 🐀
If you were with YO Mobile and your number is now with another provider, contact that provider to retrieve your number and bring it back to us.
💸 Can I Switch if I Owe Another Company?
If you had a plan with your previous carrier and still owe them money 💰 Don’t worry! 💰
You can continue with portability, and your number will transfer to YO Mobile. But keep in mind, this doesn’t exempt you from settling the debt with your ex 😒; it’s best to clear any dues to avoid future issues.
